Honor has unveiled its latest flip phone, the Honor Magic V Flip2, during an event in China. This device boasts a 6.82-inch FHD+ LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. It offers peak brightness of up to 5000 nits and features such as AI Super Dynamic Display and Dolby Vision.

The external screen measures 4 inches and also uses LTPO OLED technology, supporting a refresh rate between 0.1 and 120Hz. It can reach up to 3600 nits in brightness. The cover screen introduces interactive elements like animated pets that respond to air gestures, enhancing user engagement.

The Magic V Flip2 is equipped with a powerful camera setup. It includes a 200MP main camera with EIS+OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP front-facing camera. The system incorporates the AI Honor Image Engine, offering features like AI Super Zoom for telephoto shots and various AI editing tools.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and storage options reaching up to 1TB. Additional enhancements include the RF Enhancement Chip C1+ and Energy Efficiency Enhancement Chip E2.

Honor continues its collaboration with designer Professor Jimmy Choo Yeang Keat OBE for this model's design. The limited edition takes inspiration from crystals, while other colours like purple, white, and grey reflect his design philosophy. The phone can be accessorised with a leather sling or pearl strap.

The device is built for durability with a UTG coating of 50μm thickness and an aerospace-grade titanium alloy hinge. This construction ensures a nearly flat inner screen when unfolded. It holds IP58 and IP59 ratings for water and dust resistance and is SGS Premium Certified for drop protection.

The Magic V Flip2 houses a robust 5500mAh Silicon-carbon battery that promises substantial power endurance for a flip phone. It supports fast charging at 80W, wireless charging at 50W, and reverse wireless charging at 7.5W. Running on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0.1, the phone supports dual SIM functionality (nano + nano). Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C.

The Honor Magic V Flip2 price in China starts at 5,499 yuan (roughly Rs 66,900) for the base 12GB/256GB configuration. Moreover, Honor's latest flip phone also comes in a 12GB/512GB and a 12GB/1TB configuration that costs 5,999 yuan (roughly Rs 72,950) and 6,499 yuan (roughly Rs 79,000), respectively.

Finally, the 16GB/1TB Premium Edition of the Honor Magic V Flip2 will set you back 7,499 yuan (roughly Rs 91,150). This new flip phone is available for order now in China, with sales commencing on August 28th.
