Honor Magic V2 debuts as the world’s slimmest foldable smartphone: Check Price, Specs

Honor recently unveiled a new foldable smartphone in China. The Honor Magic V2 debuts as the world's slimmest foldable smartphone to date. The Magic V2 weighs 231 grams and measures 9.9mm thick when folded.

For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 weighs 263 grams and measures around 15.8mm thick. And the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, which previously held the title of the world's slimmest foldable smartphone, measures 11.2mm thick and weighs 262 grams.

Honor Magic V2 Price

The Honor Magic V2 price is set at CNY 8,999 (roughly Rs 1,03,200) for the 16GB/256GB model. Additionally, the Magic V2 also comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations, which will set you back CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs 1,14,700) and CNY 11,999 (roughly Rs 1,37,600), respectively.

It is worth noting the 16GB/1TB variant is referred to as the Honor Magic V2 Ultimate Edition. The Honor Magic V2 comes in Black, Gold, Silk Black, and Silk Purple shades. The Honor Magic V2 will go on sale in China from July 20, although there is no information about international availability of the device.

Honor Magic V2 Specifications

The Honor Magic V2 is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Honor's latest foldable smartphone also features a dedicated RF enhancement chip for more stable connectivity. The handset boots Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2 out-of-the-box.

The Honor Magic V2 packs a 5,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery with 66W wired charging. For optics, the Magic V2 features a 50 MP primary senor with OIS and an f/1.9 aperture, a 50 MP ultrawide shooter with f/2.0 aperture, and a 20 MP telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture and OIS support. The Magic V2 also comes with two 16 MP selfie cameras on both displays.

Honor Magic V2 Display Specifications

The Honor Magic V2 sports a 7.92-inch LTPO OLED display with a 2344 × 2156 pixels resolution. The panel boasts an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The screen is IMAX Enhanced certified and supports HDR10+.

The device opts for a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 2376 x 1060 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The outer display features a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. Additionally, there is stylus support on both screens. The Honor Magic V2 also features a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
