Honor Play 8T with MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, 90Hz Display, 6000 mAh Battery Launched

Honor recently unveiled a new affordable smartphone in China. The Honor Play 8T succeeds the Honor Play 7T and debuts as a value-oriented budget handset.

The Honor Play 8T features a MediaTek chipset, a high-refresh-rate display, a massive battery, a dual-camera setup, stereo speakers, and the latest software. Here's everything you need to know about the Honor Play 8T.

Honor Play 8T Pricing

The Honor Play 8T price is set at CNY 1,099 (roughly Rs 12,600) in China for the base 8GB/256GB model. Moreover, the device is also offered in a 12GB/256GB configuration that will set you back CNY 1,299 (roughly Rs 14,700). The Honor Play 8T will be available for pre-order from October 23.

The Honor Play 8T is offered in Fantasy Night Black, Ink Jade Green, and Streaming Silver color options. The Honor Play 8T will be available to purchase in China through Honor Mall, although there is no word about international availability about the phone.

Honor Play 8T Specifications

The Honor Play 8T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC paired with the Mali-G57 GPU. The phone also comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. The Honor Play 8T runs on Android 13 with MagicOS 7.2 on top.

The Honor Play 8T sports a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The panel also boasts a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 850 nits. The Honor Play 8T also packs a large 6,000 mAh battery with 35W fast charging support.

For optics, the Honor Play 8T gets a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50 MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. Up front, the Honor Play 8T will opt for an 8 MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Honor Play 8T also packs dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio support. Connectivity options on the device include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
