Honor Robot Phone Launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 200MP Gimbal Camera: Check Price, Specs, Features

Honor has officially launched its futuristic Robot Phone in China, bringing a unique camera system that combines a pop-out robotic gimbal with AI-powered subject tracking.

The smartphone was first teased by the company last year before making its public appearance at MWC 2026, and it now arrives as one of Honor's most experimental flagship devices.

Honor Robot Phone Price

The Honor Robot Phone starts at CNY 9,999 (approximately Rs. 1,41,500) in China for the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. The top-end model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is priced at CNY 12,999 (approximately Rs. 1,83,950).

The smartphone is available in Moon Shadow Grey and Star Trail Silver colour options. Honor has not yet announced details regarding availability in international markets, including India.

Honor Robot Phone Specifications

The dual-SIM Honor Robot Phone runs MagicOS 10 and features a 6.31-inch OLED display with a 2,640x1,216-pixel resolution, 460ppi pixel density and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The panel supports up to 6,800 nits peak HDR brightness.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with an Adreno 840 GPU. It is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB internal storage.

The Honor Robot Phone packs a large 7,060mAh battery with support for 120W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and wireless reverse charging. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, USB Type-C, GPS, NavIC, Galileo, GLONASS and an infrared remote.

The phone also features stereo speakers, four microphones with AI noise reduction and a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It measures 151.43x72.86x9.59mm and weighs approximately 248 grams, making it a substantial flagship despite its experimental camera hardware.

However, the camera system is the phone's biggest highlight. It features a 200-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, f/1.6 aperture and 23mm-equivalent focal length. The sensor is mounted on a three-axis mechanical gimbal that can physically rotate and track subjects.

The setup also includes a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 2.7x optical zoom and up to 200x digital zoom, along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera offering a 122-degree field of view. The front camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with a 90-degree field of view.

The robotic camera can automatically follow a subject while recording, allowing users to capture hands-free videos without a tripod. It supports up to 4K video recording at 120fps using the rear cameras, while the front camera supports 4K at 60fps. Honor has partnered with ARRI for the device's camera technology.
