Honor To Launch Its First Smartphone In India On Independence Day? It Could Be The Midrange Honor X9a
Once Huawei's sub-brand, Honor is now planning to make a comeback in India after it had quietly exited a few years ago. There have been many speculations about the first smartphone that Honor will launch in India to mark its re-entry.
Madhav Seth has been teasing Honor's reentry into India. The former Realme CEO who recently took over Honor's India operations Tweeted an image, which many reports suggest could indicate Honor is launching the Honor 90 as its first device. However, here's why the brand could launch the Honor X90a.

Which Honor Smartphone Will Launched In India?
Honor India is building hype on social media platforms via Honor Tech and Madhav Sheth's accounts. Both accounts are running a countdown with an unspecified end date.
Honor Tech and Madhav Seth recently posted a cryptic message containing the alphabet "H", followed by the hashtag #TechForIndians and a simple "Hello India" message.
Today, both social media accounts shared the alphabet "O" in a similar pattern, but the message read: "'Optimum Tech is on its way'".
It is quite possible that Honor and its team are merely spelling out the word "HONOR" just to create hype about the brand. If true, Honor may announce that it has officially returned to India on August 14, 2023. And announce its first smartphone after reentering India on India's Independence Day.
While many reports have claimed that the first smartphone Honor will launch in India will be the Honor 90, it is likely the brand will take a measured approach, and launch a smartphone that will have a much wider market. Hence, it is possible that Honor could launch the Honor X9a first, followed by the Honor 90.
