Honor to Debut Magic V2 and V3 Foldables in India, with Magic V2 Priced Under Rs 1 Lakh
Honor is preparing to make a bold move in India's premium smartphone market with the introduction of two new foldable devices-Magic V2 and Magic V3-by the end of 2024.
In an exclusive interview with Times Network and Digit, HTech CEO Madhav Sheth confirmed the launch of both models by the end of 2024. The key differentiator? Price.

Foldables for Every Budget
The Magic V2, priced under Rs 1 lakh, is poised to be one of the most affordable foldable phones in India. This aggressive pricing strategy could shake up the market, making foldables more accessible to a wider audience. The Magic V3, on the other hand, caters to the premium segment with a price tag exceeding Rs 1 lakh.
Specs Showdown: Magic V2 vs. Magic V3
Both the Magic V2 and Magic V3 come packed with impressive specifications, but with subtle differences that cater to different user needs.
- Display: Both models feature a 7.92-inch LTPO OLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering rich, smooth visuals. However, the Magic V3 edges ahead with higher peak brightness-1800 nits compared to the V2's 1600 nits.
- Cameras: While both phones offer a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), the Magic V3 stands out with a 50MP telephoto lens, while the Magic V2 has a 20MP telephoto camera.
- Performance: Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processors, respectively, both foldables offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, ensuring plenty of power for multitasking and performance-heavy apps.
- Battery Life: The Magic V3 packs a 5150mAh battery compared to the V2's 5000mAh, though both support 66W wired fast charging. The V3 adds 50W wireless charging, a feature absent in the V2.
- Special Features: The Magic V3 further differentiates itself with IPX8 water resistance and stylus support, catering to users seeking more durability and creative flexibility.
A Focused Approach
Honor assures that its foldable foray isn't a one-off attempt. The company plans to launch more devices in India, including the upcoming Honor X9c, but maintains it won't flood the market with rebranded versions. Instead, Honor prioritizes a focused portfolio offering unique products across different price ranges.
