HTC has announced the much-rumored One A9 smartphone, the company's first A series smartphone and the first non-Nexus smartphone to launch with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board.

The smartphone sports a 5 inch full HD AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor and runs on the latest Android operating system along with HTC Sense UI on top.

The Snapdragon chipset employs an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.5GHz and another four A53 at 1.2GHz, and paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 2 or 3 GB of RAM.
