HTC One E9s now official in India with 2TB of expandable memory at Rs 21,990

    HTC One E9s is a new addition to the Taiwanese company's mid-range offerings in the country. With a dearth of significant devices in the 20K segment, the introduction of the One E9s may bring help HTC gain traction in the market.

    According to Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom the device is now available for sale offline at Rs 21,990. The HTC One E9s also went on sale via Ebay.

    The HTC One E9s is a dual SIM (nano) device with a 5.5 inch HD (1280x720) resolution on top. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz octa core MediaTek MT6752M SoC which is coupled with a Mali T720 GPU. The 7.64mm slim device also sports a 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of onboard storage. The USP of the device lies in the

    The back boasts of a 13MP camera which comes with a BSI sensor and support for 1080p recording. Further there is an UltraPixel Selfie snapper at the top of the display, along with a dual speaker which comes with HTC BoomSound and Dolby Audio technology.

    The HTC One E9s runs on Android Lollipop (5.0) out of the box with HTC Sense UI on top. In terms of connectivity there is the standard set of Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi b/g/n and Micro USB 2.0 port. The battery on the inside is a 2600mAh which is quite modest so say the least - the S6 with a far more powerful SoC has just about the same battery capacity.

    The device will face stiff competition from OnePlus One, Xiaomi Mi4 and Infocus M812. However unlike most of the aforementioned smartphones which runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series of SoCs, the HTC E9s sports a much less powerful MT6752M on the inside. However the UltraPixel front camera, dual front firing speakers and 2TB of memory expansion via MicroSD card slot give the device an edge.
