HTC One E9s is a new addition to the Taiwanese company's mid-range offerings in the country. With a dearth of significant devices in the 20K segment, the introduction of the One E9s may bring help HTC gain traction in the market. The HTC One E9s is officially available for sale in India via eBay.

The HTC One E9s is a dual SIM (nano) device with a 5.5 inch HD (1280x720) resolution on top. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz octa core MediaTek MT6752M SoC which is coupled with a Mali T720 GPU. The back boasts of a 13MP camera which comes with a BSI sensor and support for 1080p recording. Further there is an UltraPixel Selfie snapper at the top of the display, along with a dual speaker which comes with HTC BoomSound and Dolby Audio technology.

The HTC One E9s runs on Android Lollipop (5.0) out of the box with HTC Sense UI on top. In terms of connectivity there is the standard set of Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi b/g/n and Micro USB 2.0 port. The battery on the inside is a 2600mAh which is quite modest so say the least - the S6 with a far more powerful SoC has just about the same battery capacity.

The device is available at a price of Rs 20,497 on Ebay from today onwards. You might already be thinking that is there a point to spend Rs 10,000 more considering the fact that one can buy a Lenovo K3 Note at Rs 9,999 or a Meizu M2 Note at Rs 10,999? But let me assure you that the HTC One E9s has its own set of advantages, including the presence of dual SIM, UltraPixel front camera (capable of 1080p), Dual Front Firing Speakers and a premium build. However is it sufficient for the Rs 10,000 more that I am spending on this device? That's a matter of personal choice!
