Android 6.0 was released late only last month. The Marshmallow updates are available for select phones, and mostly the high end ones. HTC had earlier released a list of its smartphones that will be part of the Marshmallow updates. The list had mention of two smartphones - the One M9 and the One M8 smartphones. HTC had stated that the company would get the updates towards the end of the year.

It now appears that the the HTC One M8 could get an Android 6.0 much sooner than expected. The HTC One M8 has received a Bluetooth SIG certification. The certification has been issued on October 28th.
