HTC One M9 Prime comes with Android Lollipop! Seriously?
Taiwan-based handset maker HTC has silently launched its flagship device One M9 Prime Camera edition in the European market. As per the report, this smartphone is listed on the company's German website.
Moreover, as per the report, the Prime Camera edition variant is available on contract with a price tag of EUR 22.70 (approx Rs. 1,700) per month for a period of 24 months. Just like One M9, this device also sports an all-metal unibody design and comes in single-tone Gunmetal Grey and Gold colour.
Difference between HTC One M9 and One M9 Prime Camera edition!
When compared with its bigger brother, this device holds the change in terms of hardware units. While the One M9 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, this device comes with an Octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 clocked at 2.2GHz and 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM. However, this device has been downgraded from 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM when compared to One M9.

Average Specifications!
The One M9 Prime Camera edition sports a 5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels, which is same as its predecessor. As indicated, this device is shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop topped with Sense 7 UI on top of it. Moreover, the One M9 Prime Camera variant comes with expandable option of up to 2TB with MicroSD card slot. Talking about the optical front, this device has witnessed some downgrade from 20MP/4MP to 13MP/4UP camera package.
On the connectivity, it has Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, Glonass, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, LTE and powered by a 2840mAh battery. On the whole talking about the hardware, the One M9 Prime Camera smartphone comes with mediocre specifications when compared to other devices that got released lately.

Will it fare well?
As per the reports, one of the main reasons for the failure One M9 is the Snapdragon's thermal issues, which resulted in poor reviews and concerns from the carriers. However, it is too late now to rectify it as many smartphone makers, including Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola has came up with advanced devices at a very cheaper price. Will it fare well? Let's see!
