HTC One X9 to be officially announced tomorrow, indicates teaser

The HTC One X9 which recently appeared in leaked live photos is likely to be unveiled on December 24. HTC posted a teaser on Weibo which indicates that the phone could launch tomorrow. The HTC One X9 is expected to release in Taiwan, the country where HTC is originally from.

The letter 'X' indicates that the smartphone is the One X9. This is also further hinted at with the capacitive buttons that the smartphone to be released is the One X9. The HTC One X9 appeared some back on TENAA in China and has received a TENAA certification.

The HTC One X9 has a 5.5-inch 1080p display. The handset features a 13MP rear camera with OIS to ensure that images clicked are disturbance free. It also has a 5MP shooter on the front. The smartphone measures 153.2 x 75.9 x 7.99mm and weighs 174 gms. The One X9 runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and packs a 3,000 mAh battery. The HTC ONE X9 is expected to cost anywhere between $366 - $457 in Taiwan.

The TENAA listing also reveals that the handset is powered by a 2.2 Ghz, oct-core processor alleged to be the MediaTek MT6795 SoC. It has 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 16GB, which is expandable.
