HTC to Launch New U-Series Smartphone on June 12; U24 Series Incoming?

HTC has confirmed the launch of a new smartphone on June 12. The brand did not mention the name of the device; however, the caption suggests the new U-series smartphone. Besides, the official teaser shows the presence of a power button and volume rockers at the right edge of the device. Here's what to expect from HTC's upcoming smartphone.

HTC to Launch New U-Series Smartphone on June 12

The brand took to its official social media handle to confirm the arrival of the upcoming HTC U-series phone. The caption says #ALLFORU. Moreover, earlier reports already revealed the brand could launch the HTC U24 series comprising the HTC U24 and U24 Pro in the coming days. Given that, we can safely assume the brand will be launching the U24 series on June 12.

HTC U24 Series: What to Expect?

As of now, the brand has not shared any details regarding the upcoming smartphone. Previously, an HTC smartphone appeared on the Geekbench database listing with the model number 2QDA100, suggesting to come with the HTC U24 or U24 Pro moniker.

It scored 1,095 points in the single-core round and 3,006 points in the multi-core test. The Geekbench listing also revealed the device could come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM. On the software front, the upcoming HTC phone will run Android 14 OS and it will support Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity.

Moreover, the HTC U24 series will succeed the U23 series; however, it is not available in the Indian market. So, we do not know whether the brand has any plan to launch the next-gen U24 series outside its homegrown market.

To recall, the HTC U23 Pro was launched with a Full HD+ OLED screen, 120Hz refresh rate, an OIS-enabled 108MP primary camera, and a 4600 mAh battery unit with support for 30W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. The phone also features an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.
