HTC U11 was launched in India in June last year. Almost one year later, the smartphone has received a price cut of Rs. 5,991 in India. The U11 which was launched at Rs. 51,990, is now available at just Rs. 45,999 after the price cut. So if you were planning to buy the flagship smartphone from HTC, this is the right time. However, it should be noted that only Flipkart is offering the smartphone at this lower rate.
Also, only the Amazing Silver and Brilliant Black color variants of the HTC U11 are available at Rs. 51,990. When we checked on Flipkart, both the variants were out of stock. However, we expected new units will be available soon. On the other hand, the Solar Red and Sapphire Blue color variants of the smartphone are still retailing at the price of Rs. 53,990.
As stated earlier, the HTC U11 arrived in India in June 2017. Just to recall, the smartphone comes with squeezable frames thanks to the "Edge Sense" technology. It is fitted with a 5.5-inch Quad HD 1440p Super LCD 5 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for added protection.
The U11 is driven by a 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC that is teamed up with Adreno 540 graphics unit and 6GB RAM. The device offers 128GB storage space that can be expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card as it has a hybrid dual SIM card slot.
Talking about the software, the U11 was originally launched with Android Nougat, but it has now started receiving Android 8.0 Oreo update.
There is a fingerprint sensor as well on board with other features such as 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and USB Type-C 3.1. A 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 powers the smartphone. Also, the device comes with the IP67 rating that makes it water and dust resistant.
On the optics front, the HTC U11 is equipped with a 12MP HTC UltraPixel 3 rear camera with dual LED flash. The rear camera has OIS, f/1.7 aperture, UltraSpeed Autofocus, 4K video recording with 3D audio, RAW capture, Hi-Res stereo recording, 120fps slow-mo video at FHD 1080p. For selfie camera, the HTC phone uses a 16MP sensor that can record videos at FHD 1080p resolution.
