HTC India today launched a new smartphone called HTC U11+ in India. Offered in Amazing Silver color variant, the smartphone carries a price tag of Rs. 56,990. The device will soon get a Ceramic Black color option as well. When it comes to availability, the smartphone will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart from February 7 onwards, which is tomorrow.
The HTC U11+ is described as a high-end smartphone for those who want to step up their game. Featuring the Liquid Surface design, the device has a glass back. The U11+ has minimal bezels, but it is nowhere near a fully bezel-less phone. There is another Translucent color variant, which allows you to see its innards through the rear panel. Unfortunately, this particular variant is not available in India.
Let's have a look into the specs and features of the HTC U11+.
The HTC U11+ comes with a 6-inch LCD display that carries support for WQHD+ resolution. This means the display has the screen resolution of 1,440×2,880 pixels along with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Powering the U11+ is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor that is present in all the current flagship smartphones. In the memory department, the smartphone features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. Since there is a microSD card onboard, the storage space can be further expanded.
In terms of optics, the smartphone features a 12MP rear-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture and dual-LED flash. Likewise, there lies an 8MP selfie camera at the front. The U11+ is claimed to have better camera hardware and software than the flagship U11.
To keep the lights on, the HTC U11+ uses a decent 3,393mAh battery that might not seem big enough given its large 6-inch screen.
Some notable features
HTC has optimized the Edge Sense feature on U11+ to offer more customizable experience to users. As such, it has a feature called Unique Edge Launcher using which you can perform certain tasks.
The HTC U11+ flaunts an IP68 certified chassis for dust and water proofing. The smartphone also comes with the signature USonic ear buds in the box. In fact, the smartphone is said to deliver 30% louder audio as compared to the U11.
The HTC U11+ runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system right out of the box. This means users will be able to to experience all the Android features like Picture-in-Picture mode, Smart Text Selection, Notification Dots, Android Instant Apps, Google Play Protect improved booting time, extended battery life and a whole lot more.
