HTC U12+ will look stunning; renders suggest
While these are not real images, they gives us an idea of what to expect from the phone in terms of design.
HTC recently unveiled the mid-range smartphones; Desire 12 and Desire 12+. The company is also said to be working on two flagship devices called U12 and U12+. The U12+ is reportedly the larger and slightly upgraded version of U12+. Last week, serial leakster Evan Blass took to Twitter to post an image of the alleged U12+. He also revealed the key specifications of the smartphone.
Based on the leaks, a 3D artist who goes by the moniker Concept Creator (via TechnoBuffalo) has released a few renders of the HTC U12+. While these are not real images, they gives us an idea of what to expect from the phone in terms of design. The renders show the smartphone featuring a full-screen design with minimal bezels. The top bezel houses two selfie cameras, whereas the bottom bezel is empty.
The device appears to sport a glass back. At the rear panel, there is a horizontally arranged dual camera setup, dual-tone LED flash module, fingerprint scanner, and HTC branding. We are not sure how close the real U12+ will look, but we won't be disappointed if the phone ends up looking like this.
According to Evan Blass, the U12+ will feature a 6-inch LCD display with WQHD+ resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone is said to make use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, which is coupled with 6GB of RAM. In terns of storage, it will reportedly offer 256GB of default storage space.
On the optics front, the HTC U12+ is tipped to pack four cameras. Blass says, the rear dual camera setup will comprise of a 16MP sensor and a 12MP sensor. There image sensors will be accompanied by a LED flash module. Whereas the front dual camera setup will be a combination of two 8MP sensors.
In addition to all these, the U12+ will come with Android Oreo OS and IP68 rating. Finally, the smartphone will have the Edge Sense feature.
The U12+ will reportedly not launch before May. If that is the case, the smartphone will be butting heads against the OnePlus 6, which is expected to launch sometime in June. As yet, there is no information on the phone's availability.
