Huawei Honor 7 with FingerPrint sensor, 20MP camera and 3GB RAM launched

Chinese handset manufacturer, Huawei has announced the Honor 7 smartphone which essentially is the successor of the company's previously launched Honor 6 smartphone in the market.

Huawei Honor 7 launched: Here is all about it

The Honor 7 comes with high-end features including octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor, boasts a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, and a 20MP snapper with face detection that will let users focus on a subject in just 0.1 second, as per the company claims.

Moreover, this device flaunts a uni-body metal finish and offer dual SIM standby.

Huawei Honor 7 - Key Specifications

Huawei Honor 7, sports a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by a Octa-Core Huawei Kirin 935 processor (4xA53 2.2GHz + 4xA53 1.5GHz) with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU besides 3GB RAM under the hood.

On the storage side, this device comes with 16GB / 64GB of inbuilt memory, with an expandable option of up to 128GB via microSD card. In terms of software it runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop on top of Emotion UI 3.1.

Talking about the camera front, Honor 7 features a 20MP camera with Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6P lenses and dual-tone LED flash, 8MP front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture, BSI Sensor, LED flash.

Moving on, the Honor 7 includes connectivity options like 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, IR LED. The whole hardware is powered by a 3100mAh battery on board.

The Huawei Honor 7 has been launched in Gold, Silver and Grey color variants, and is priced at 1999 Chinese Yuan ( approx Rs. 20,509) for the 16GB single SIM, 2199 Yuan for dual SIM ( approx Rs. 22,551) and 2499 Yuan ( Rs. 25,640) for the 64GB dual SIM variant.

Pre-order for the device is now available in China, though it will go on sale from July 7. As of now, there is no announcement about the global roll-out of the phone

Competition

Entering into the market, Huawei Honor 7 will face a stiff competition with another Chinese handset Gionee Elife E8. Both having similar specifications more or less, Honor 7 stands ahead of Elife E8 interms of price.
