For the past couple days, there has been a buzz in the smartphone world about Huawei's new smartphone. Speculations suggest that this new smartphone is going to be a completely new device in terms of design than its predecessors.
The much talked about device is the Huawei Mate 10, and if you consider the latest leak it provides us the first look at the smartphone and its design. Well, images of the alleged Mate 10 have now been posted on China's social media platform Weibo. And from the image, we can see that the smartphone boasts of a bezel-less display, a uni-body metal-clad design, and a dual-camera setup.
Basically, on closely analyzing the image you can see that the handset comes with a massive display with very thin bezels at the top and bottom. There seems to be no home button and it looks like Huawei has taken the design inspiration from Samsung Galaxy S8. However, at the back, there is a dual-camera setup with the Leica branding and a flash at the side. Below the camera, there's a fingerprint scanner. The phone looks to have a metal finish, further hinting at the improved design.
Though it's hard to confirm the authenticity of this photo right now, we recommended you to take the information with a pinch of salt until more concrete details are available.
In a similar instance, a video of Huawei Mate 10 has also been posted on YouTube showing similar features. You can check the video below. Besides, judging from the leaks and reports, these images and videos reveal a lot of interesting things about the upcoming Mate 10. The main one though is that the device will be bringing in a new era of smartphones in Huawei's lineup.
Apart from that, as per the previous rumors, Huawei Mate 10 is expected to come with a powerful Kirin 970 processor, paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. The rumors further suggest that the handset will be backed by a 4000mAh battery and that it will run Android Nougat out of the box. The rumors also say that Huawei Mate 10 will likely be priced over $1000 (approx. Rs. 64,000).
As per reports, Huawei will most probably launch the device in the month of October at an event in Europe and considering the time period it might be that the company is gearing up to compete with Apple and Samsung in the high-end market. Apple is set to launch its new flagship the iPhone 8 while Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 8 in the coming weeks.
Besides, Huawei's product head of consumer division has already confirmed that the Mate 10 will compete with the Apple's iPhone 8. He has also revealed that the phone will come with an improved battery life and better cameras. But again, the biggest USP of the upcoming smartphone could be the bezel-less design.
