Huawei Mate 10's codename revealed ahead of launch

Huawei has already released two teasers for the upcoming smartphone.

    Many flagships are expected to launch in the Q3 2017. We are still waiting for iPhone 8, LG V30, Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Well, the Chinese manufacturer, Huawei is also set to launch its flagship Huawei Mate 10.

    The company has already released a teaser image confirming an October 16 launch for the Huawei Mate 10. Well, the image didn't mention the name of the smartphone, but it did contain the hashtag #beyondthegalaxy. So how are we sure that the unveiling of Huawei Mate 10 will happen on October 16? This is because it is the only major Huawei phone that is being spotted in leaks lately.

    Anyway, leakster Evan Blass has taken to Twitter to reveal one little piece of information about the smartphone. Initially, he said that the Huawei Mate 10 is codenamed as Marcel. However, on the same day, he posted another tweet claiming that the codename for the upcoming Huawei device is Blanc.

    Well, as far the authenticity of this information is concerned, it is not verified yet. That being said, Evan Blass is usually right with his speculations.

    Moving on, Huawei recently teaser video for the Mate 10, highlighting camera features. The video basically shows a montage of the dual rear camera setup which will be seen on the Mate 10. Further, it is revealed that the dual camera setup comprises of a 12MP RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor.

    Interestingly, this is the same setup that Huawei has used in the past on smartphones like Mate 9 and the P10.

    The Leica branding is also clearly visible and in the video, it also says that the camera setup has been 'co-engineered' with Leica.
