From the reports that we have heard and read in the past few days, we know that Huawei is going to announce its upcoming flagship the Huawei Mate 10 at an event in Munich, Germany on 16 October.

However, just before the launch, there is a trend that most of the smartphone brands follow. Well, these days manufacturers usually post the teasers of their flagship phones that tend to give us an idea about the upcoming devices. And these teasers start coming out weeks before the launch.

While the trend seems familiar, Huawei has yet again released a video teaser of the alleged Huawei Mate 10 that shows one key highlight of the smartphone which is the camera.

Talking more about the 25 seconds video teaser, the Chinese handset maker is calling the smartphone 'the device worth waiting for' but has not explicitly named it. Why are we sure this is the Mate 10? Well, one of the slides at the end says 'Huawei Mate', and considering the fact that there is no news about another device in the Mate series, it is safe to say this is the Mate 10.

Huawei Mate 10 video teaser out: Will sport Leica-branded dual cameras

The video basically shows a montage of the dual rear camera setup which will be seen on the Mate 10. Further, you can see that the dual camera setup comprises of a 12MP RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor. Interestingly, this is the same setup that Huawei has used in the past on smartphones like Mate 9 and the P10. Besides, in the Mate 10, the company will likely bring some changes to the software algorithms.

The Leica branding is also clearly visible and in the video, it also says that the camera setup has been 'co-engineered' with Leica. You can also see different scenarios captured by the smartphone with different modes.

Other than that there is not much information about the upcoming device. Earlier reports have suggested that the Huawei Mate 10 will most probably come with an 'EntireView' 6-inch display and have an 18:9 aspect ratio with 2160x1080 pixel resolution.

Under the hood, the smartphone will basically feature the latest Kirin 970 chipset. As per the report from GizmoChina, it notes that the new flagship chipset houses an octa-core processor with a quad-core Cortex A73 cluster and another quad-core Cortex A53 cluster and is further clocked at a speed of 2.8 GHz. The chipset will likely be paired with a Mali G72 MP8 GPU.

Huawei with its Mate 10 is set to compete with other flagships like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Apple iPhone 8 and LG V30 that are also scheduled to be launched around the same time. Will it be a worthy competitor? We will have to wait and see what Huawei will actually bring to the table.
