Huawei Mate X5 foldable smartphone launched with two 120Hz OLED Displays, IP8X Rating
Huawei recently unveiled a new foldable smartphone in India alongside its flagship Mate 60 series. The Huawei Mate X5 is the latest foldable smartphone by the Chinese smartphone maker and succeeds the Huawei Mate X3.
Huawei hasn't mentioned any details about the Mate X5's chipset and its pricing, although the foldable smartphone will be available on pre-sale from Huawei Mall with a deposit of CNY 1,000 (roughly Rs 11,500). We should get more details about the Huawei Mate X5 price soon.

Huawei Mate X5 Variants
The Huawei Mate X5 arrives in two configurations - 12GB/512GB and 16GB/512GB. Moreover, the Huawei Mate X5 Collector's Edition arrives in two variants - 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB.
The Huawei Mate X5 is offered in Feather Black, Feather White, Feather Gold, Green Mountain Dai, and Phantom Purple colour options colour options. Additionally, the purple and green models feature a leather back panel, while the rest of the models feature a glass back.
Huawei Mate X5 Specifications
The Huawei Mate X5 is powered by an unnamed processor, although rumours suggest it will be the Kirin 9000s chipset, which is a move away from Qualcomm considering the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC was used on the Mate X3. The Mate X5 will come with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.

The Huawei Mate X5 sports a 7.85-inch Foldable LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2496 x 2224 pixels. The screen boasts an adaptive refresh rate between 1Hz - 120Hz and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. On the outside, there's a 6.4-inch 3D Curved LTPO OLED cover screen with an adaptive refresh rate between 1Hz - 120Hz and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.
For optics, the Huawei Mate X5 gets a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP primary sensor, a 13 MP ultrawide lens, and a 12 MP Periscope unit with 5x optical zoom and OIS. The Mate X5 also features an 8 MP front camera. The Huawei Mate X5 runs HarmonyOS 4.
Huawei's latest foldable smartphone packs a 5,060 mAh battery 66W wired fast charging support. Additionally, the Mate X5 also supports 50W wireless charging and 7.5W reverse wireless charging. The Mate X5 is also one of the few foldable smartphones to feature an IP8X rating for water resistance.
