Premium Design with Familiar Touches

Despite the complex folding mechanism, Huawei claims the unfolded thickness remains impressively slim at under 5mm. When folded, the Mate XT resembles a standard smartphone, offering a familiar form factor in a pocket-friendly format.

Technical Specifications Still Under Wraps

Huawei has remained tight-lipped about the Mate XT's internal hardware. However, rumors suggest it will be powered by the company's in-house Kirin 9-series chipset, ensuring smooth performance.

As the first-generation tri-fold phone from Huawei, it's expected to be a limited-edition release, with a price tag speculated to be around 14,900 Yuan (approximately $2,000 USD). The official launch is scheduled for September 10th.

A Future-Forward Innovation

Huawei CEO Richard Yu has claimed the Mate XT represents a five-year development journey. He positions it as the company's most disruptive and innovative product to date, setting a new standard for the future of mobile devices.

Whether the tri-fold design becomes mainstream remains to be seen, but the Mate XT undoubtedly pushes the boundaries of current smartphone technology.
