As you are aware Huawei is working on the Nexus device for this year in collaboration with Google. Unfortunately though, the company is yet to taste success in keeping their undercover work on the Nexus 2015, a secret. With many a leaks flooding the market everyday analysts at Gizbot couldn't opine differently.
Nevertheless this new leak posted on Weibo apparently contradicts most of the device leaks that we had come across previously. Remember the time when @evleaks had hinted that the upcoming device will coming with a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB RAM? It was followed up by many other leaks by different tipsters round the globe. Apparently though it seems like the Huawei Nexus 2015 might not come with either of leaked specs!
In fact the screenshot of the device codenamed "angler" - Huawei Nexus 2015 reveals that the SoC under the hood is none other than the MSM8994 with eight cores clocked at 2GHz each. This symbolizes the fact that the Nexus device is in fact using a v2.1 of the Snapdragon 810.
The reason for assigning the v2.1 is because of individual core clock speed. The first gen of SD810 SoC had cores clocked at 2.1GHz each. Furthermore the RAM is listed as 3072MB/3GB - unlike the 4GB leaked earlier. This is somewhat disappointing.
Launching a 3GB RAM device, in an age where 4GB is becoming the benchmark for flagships in the industry won't boil down well in the market. The leaked images doesn't reveal much details about the device as it completely hidden.
Nevertheless an USB Type C port is visible at the bottom of the device - corresponding to the previous leak by @evleaks. Additionally the leaked device sports a 64GB eMMC storage sourced from Samsung.
