Huawei Nova Flip Teased With Square Cover Display, Dual Cameras, and Punch-Hole Inner Display
Huawei is set to expand its foldable smartphone lineup with the introduction of the nova Flip, a new clamshell foldable phone. Scheduled for an official unveiling on August 6, the nova Flip represents Huawei's first entry into the foldable segment under the nova series.
Design and Features
Huawei recently shared a teaser video on Weibo featuring the nova Flip, showcasing its design from multiple angles. The phone is highlighted in a striking Lime green color, which adds a fresh look to its foldable lineup.

Display and Build
The nova Flip will feature a square cover display positioned next to a camera island on the rear. This cover display is notably larger than those on previous Huawei Pocket foldables but remains relatively compact by current standards. The teaser also reveals a flat power button, which is expected to function as a fingerprint scanner.
The teaser video employed Morse code to spell out the word "Flip," further confirming the device's name. The Huawei logo is prominently placed at the hinge, while the bottom panel of the device carries the nova branding. The overall build appears to include a metal frame, and the main display includes a punch-hole cutout for the front camera.
Camera Setup
The phone will come equipped with a dual rear camera setup housed in a rectangular module. Additionally, the main display will feature a punch-hole cutout to accommodate an internal camera.

Upcoming Launch Event
Huawei's launch event is set for August 6 in China. Alongside the nova Flip, the company is expected to introduce a range of other products, including the MateBook GT 14, MatePad Pro 12.2, MatePad Air 2024, and the Printer X1 Max.
