Huawei P20 and P20 Pro India launch imminent; suggests teaser
Last month, Huawei had posted another teaser for the P20 and P20 Pro with the tagline 'Coming Sooon in India'.
Huawei India has taken to Twitter to post a teaser that indicates the P20 and P20 Pro will soon be launched in India. The flagship smartphones were globally announced on March 27, but until now we heard no word on their Indian availability. While we still don't have any specific timeline, the teaser is a hint that the launch of P20 and P20 Pro is imminent.
The teaser, which comes in the form of brief video, was posted along with the caption, "Is it a phone? Is it a DSLR? It is the best of both worlds! #SeeMooore #HuaweiP20". GSMArena reports Huawei is planning to launch the P20 and P20 Pro in India later this month. However, we have received no official confirmation in this regard.
Notably, the predecessors of P20 and P20 Pro were not launched in the Indian market. Huawei has apparently changed its mind this year. Last month, the company had posted another teaser with the tagline 'Coming Sooon in India'.
Talking about Huawei's latest flagships, the main highlight of the P20 Pro is the Leica triple camera setup at its back. The rear camera is capable of capturing DSLR-level images even in low-light conditions. There is a 40MP RGB sensor, a 20MP Monochrome sensor, and an 8MP 3X Telephoto sensor. The smartphone also has a 24MP selfie camera at the front.
Coming to other aspects, the Huawei P20 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED FullView Display. It is powered by a Huawei Kirin 970 processor, which is clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. The smartphone packs a large 4,000mAh battery with SuperCharge support too. The P20 Pro carries IP67 certification for water and dust protection.
Huawei P20, on the other hand, comes with a 5.8-inch RGBW FullView Display. Under the hood, there is an in-house Kirin 970 processor. The memory aspect of the smartphone is taken care of by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a Leica-branded dual rear camera setup. There is a 20MP Monochrome sensor and a 12MP RGB sensor. The sensors have the aperture sizes of f/1.6 and f/1.8. At the front, there is a 24MP selfie snapper.
