Huawei Pocket 2 Launched as First Clamshell Foldable with Quad Rear Cameras: Check Price, Specs
Huawei recently unveiled a new flip smartphone in China. The Huawei Pocket 2 debuts as the first clamshell folding smartphone to feature four rear camera sensors.
The Huawei Pocket 2 arrives with an OLED display, Kirin chipset, a quad-camera setup, and a sizeable battery for a flip smartphone. Let's take a detailed look at the Huawei Pocket 2 flip smartphone.

Huawei Pocket 2 Price, Colors
The Huawei Pocket 2 price starts from CNY 7,499 (roughly Rs 86,400) for the 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the phone also comes in 12GB/512GB and 12GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 7,999 (roughly Rs 92,200) and CNY 8,999 (roughly Rs 1,03,700), respectively.
The Pocket 2 comes in Elegant Black, Rococo White, Tahitian Grey, and Taro Purple shades. Moreover, the Huawei Pocket 2 is also offered in an Art version with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage that is priced at CNY 10,999 (roughly Rs 1,26,800). As of now, there is no word on the Huawei Pocket 2's availability outside India.
Huawei Pocket 2 Specifications
The Huawei Pocket 2 is powered by the Kirin 9000s SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It runs HarmonyOS 4.0 out of the box. The phone also has a VC cooling system placed in the top half. The handset packs a 4,520 mAh battery with 66W wired and 40W wireless fast charging support.
The Huawei Pocket 2 also sports a 6.94-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 2,690 x 1,136 pixels. The panel boasts a variable 120Hz refresh rate and a 1440Hz PWM dimming rate as well as a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. The Pocket 2's screen features a peak brightness of 2,200 nits.
The phone also features a secondary circular 1.15-inch OLED cover screen with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. The Huawei Pocket 2 also supports two-way satellite messaging through Beidou, the Chinese satellite navigation system.
Huawei Pocket 2 Cameras
For optics, Huawei's latest flip smartphone features a quad-camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS and an f/1.6 aperture. Moreover, the main camera is paired with a 12 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and an 8 MP telephoto unit with OIS, 3x optical zoom, and an f/2.4 aperture.

Lastly, the Pocket 2 features a 2 MP UV sensor, which Huawei claims can detect UV intensity. Huawei also says that the camera can detect deep sunspots and suggest when sunscreen is needed. Additionally, the hole-punch cutout on the screen houses a 10.7 MP front camera.

The Huawei Pocket 2 features an IPX8 rating for resistance to water. Moreover, it is the first Huawei phone to feature a waterdrop hinge to eliminate the gap when folded.
The Huawei Pocket 2 weighs around 202 grams and measures 7.25mm thick when unfolded and 15.3mm thick when folded. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C port, NFC, and more. Huawei also released a strap accessory with its Pocket 2 flip smartphone.
