Huawei's new update to Honor 4X brings SOS feature, Diwali theme and Stagefright bug fix

Huawei released the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Honor 4X smartphones in India last month. This time, a new update to the Honor 4X phones brings an SOS feature, a Diwali theme and a patch to fix Stagefright bug.

The latest update of EMUI 3.1 is applicable to honor 4X Cherry-L04.

The Diwali theme : The Diwali theme is an added theme that is added to the themes section. Users can find it in the themes section of their phones. With Diwali wallpapers and Themes, the update will add color to the phone.

SOS feature: The SOS feature is a safety feature and can be used if users find themselves in an emergency situation. You have to pre-feed a set of contacts who will be alerted in case you are in an emergency situation. Once, you are in an emergency situation, you can click on the SOS feature which will immediately alert these contacts whom the user has authorized. The feature can be found under "Emergency Services" under Privacy & Security in settings.

Google Patch Integration: The new Stagefright bug fix makes the device more secure

The new updates are bound to fix any vulnerabilities in the phone and give additional add-ons to the phones in terms of apps and features.
