Huawei’s next flagship smartphone might feature a DSLR like camera

Huawei, the technology giant known for embedding its devices with powerful cameras is once again set to raise the bar with its upcoming flagship handset. As per some reports, Huawei is working on its next flagship device which is reported to feature a DSLR like camera. The smartphone is expected to sport a Artificial Intelligence backed high-end camera to please shutterbugs.

As per some reports from Android Authority, Huawei's CEO Richard Yu announced that AI (Artificial Intelligence) integrated smartphone with DSLR like camera might be introduced in near future.

The CEO emphasized that the company is working on AI integrated Smartphone with camera technology that includes DSLR like focal length and also has the Zoom feature for the mobile department.

Huawei has recently announced Honor View 10, which is backed by company's in-house kirin 970 AI chipset. The CPU has machine learning abilities that improve Honor View 10's dual-lens camera's performance. We might get to see an improved version of AI camera on the Huawei's upcoming smartphone. It is being reported that Huawei P20 flagship series of devices will feature this DSLR like camera.

Huawei has been developing dual-lens camera smartphones from a while. The company's recent budget offering- Honor 7X also sports a dual-lens camera setup which has impressed us with its abilities.

The View 10 is a different game altogether. Honor View 10 is touted as "Your first AI phone". The smartphone is backed by Huawei's in-house Kirin 970 AI chipset that has a dedicated Neural Processing Unit to enhance your smartphone user experience in every possible way.

Honor View 10 brings a new kind of two-lens camera implementation which is backed by Artificial Intelligence. The dedicated NPU has a big role in the way dual-lens camera works on Honor View 10. On papers, the Kirin 970 can process 2,000 images per minute, which is considerably higher than what other CPUs can achieve. The faster response time is once again due to the dedicated NPU unit.

The AI equipped camera is said to have better control over shooting conditions and can auto adjust the camera's settings to give the best output. We believe Huawei will improve on the AI backed camera in its upcoming smartphone to push the envelope even further in the year 2018.
