Huawei sends out invite for launch event on August 17: P9 incoming

Huawei has rolled out an invite for its event scheduled for August 17, where it is expected to launch the P9 smartphones in India. Last week, the company sent out teaser for 'something exciting' lined up for India. Though, it doesn't mention the name the upcoming product this time as well, it will most likely be launching the much awaited P9 series devices, which were first unveiled in London back in April.

The Huawei P9 is the company's flagship smartphone. Here we take a recap of the specs and features of upcoming Huawei smartphones:

SPECS & FEATURES:

Huawei's P9 boast metal build body with slim profile. The P9 measures in at 6.95mm at 6.98mm in thickness. phone will be available in single or hybrid dual SIM variant depending on the region. The key feature of the Huawei P9 is the 12MP dual-camera set-up, which features Leica SUMMARIT lenses and 1.25-micron pixels for better image quality in low light conditions.

In terms of connectivity, P9 device shares same options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. Other features will include a fingerprint sensor placed on the back.

The Huawei P9 will be available in Mystic Silver, Titanium Grey, Ceramic White, Prestige Gold, Rose Gold variant and Haze Gold variant.

PRICING:

At the time of their launch back in April, the Huawei P9 was priced at £449 (approx Rs. 42,100) While their launch pricing was quite high, we expect their India pricing to be comparatively aggressive.
