HyperOS 3.1 Update Rollout Details: Check Eligible Xiaomi Devices and New Features
Xiaomi has started rolling out HyperOS 3.1 in phases, beginning with beta testing in China. Rather than introducing a dramatic visual overhaul, the update focuses on polishing the user experience, refining system behavior, and expanding accessibility and ecosystem features.

Here’s a clear look at what HyperOS 3.1 brings and which devices are eligible.
Super Island becomes more useful in daily use
HyperOS 3.1 upgrades Super Island, Xiaomi’s pill-shaped interface element, making it more interactive. The update adds Live Updates support for third-party apps like music players, reminders, and timers.
Instead of acting like a static notification area, Super Island now updates in real time, turning it into a more functional control center during everyday use.

Smoother animations and refreshed system apps
Xiaomi has refined animations across the system, including core apps such as Gallery and Weather. Transitions feel more fluid, and visual elements like the recent apps screen and animation curves have been reworked to improve consistency.
These changes are subtle, but they’re meant to make the interface feel less jittery and more cohesive over long-term use.

Lock screen customization expands further
Customization remains a key focus. HyperOS 3.1 adds more lock screen editing options, including depth effects that allow subjects in wallpapers to overlap the clock.
Users can also make wallpaper edits directly from the lock screen, reducing the need to dive into deeper settings menus.
Better cross-platform and ecosystem features
HyperOS 3.1 improves integration with Apple’s ecosystem by adding native support for AirPods. Compatible Xiaomi devices now show a pairing pop-up and offer access to features like spatial audio.
Another addition allows users to answer iPhone calls directly on Xiaomi phones when both devices are linked, pushing Xiaomi further into cross-device interoperability.

Accessibility tools and quick gestures
Accessibility settings have been reorganized under a new primary menu called Assistant. This makes features such as Active Visual Perception easier to find and toggle.
On select models, including the Redmi K90 Pro Max, HyperOS 3.1 also enables quick gesture controls for navigation and shortcuts.
Performance, stability and comfort improvements
Xiaomi has also made several system-level changes aimed at improving day-to-day performance. These include a redesigned recent apps menu, improved memory management, smoother animations, reduced frame stutter, and faster app launches.
HyperOS 3.1 also introduces a Motion Sickness reduction feature, refining visual cues during scrolling and fast UI movements to reduce discomfort for sensitive users.
Eligible devices for HyperOS 3.1
Only devices eligible for Android 16 are expected to receive HyperOS 3.1. Models limited to Android 15 will not support the update due to stricter system requirements.
