India-Pakistan Conflict: Samsung Cancels Galaxy S25 Edge Launch in Delhi

Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge globally on May 13. A dedicated announcement was planned for the Indian market in Delhi on the same day. However, due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the company has called off the Delhi event, a source told Moneycontrol.

It now remains to be seen whether the brand will reschedule the launch event or opt for a virtual unveiling instead. If there are any updates regarding this, we'll keep you updated.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: What to Expect?

The new addition to the Samsung family is set to debut on May 13 at 9:00 a.m. KST (7:30 a.m. IST). The upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge is confirmed to feature a 200MP camera. Moreover, it is expected to feature a 6.65-inch display with thin bezels, a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,600 nits peak brightness. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.

It is believed to run on Android 15-based One UI 7. For optics, the 200MP main sensor will likely be paired with 12MP ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 120-degree FoV. Upfront, it might opt for a 12MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and an 80-degree FoV.

Moreover, the device will likely pack a 3,900mAh battery with 25W charging. It is expected to weigh 163g and measure only 5.85mm in thickness.

Following its launch, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be available for purchase via Flipkart in India, where a dedicated microsite has already gone live. As per Flipkart microsite, the phone will go official at 1 PM IST on May 13.
