Infinix is set to bring another budget 5G phone to India, this time with a focus on long-term performance, AI features, and battery life.

After launching the Helio G81-powered Hot 60i globally in July, the company has now confirmed the Hot 60i 5G for the Indian market — and revealed a good chunk of what to expect.

A Fresh Design With Familiar Colors

The Hot 60i 5G will be available in four colors: Shadow Blue, Monsoon Green, Sleek Black, and Plum Red. The back has a noticeable horizontal camera visor with a 50MP main sensor and a dual-LED flash, which gives it a more premium vibe than typical entry-level phones.

While the phone hasn't launched yet, the design is already out in the open — and it stays in line with Infinix’s recent push to offer flashier, Gen-Z-friendly designs even in its more affordable lineup.

Dimensity 6400 and a Big Battery Under the Hood

Powering the Hot 60i 5G is MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 chipset, paired with a 6,000mAh battery — a combo that suggests it’s built for endurance more than high-end speed. It’s also rated IP64 for dust and water resistance, which isn’t common in the sub-₹10,000 bracket.

Infinix is claiming 5 years of lag-free performance, backed by TÜV certification. That’s a bold promise in this segment, and while it may not mean zero slowdown, it does signal a focus on software optimization and long-term usability.

Like some of the more recent mid-range launches, the Hot 60i 5G will include a few AI-focused tools aimed at casual productivity and fun. These include:

While there’s no official launch date, the Hot 60i 5G is expected to land later this month. It’s likely to slot in below the recently launched Hot 60 5G+, which runs on the Dimensity 7020 and was priced at ₹10,499 at launch.

So, expect the Hot 60i 5G to come in around ₹9,999, possibly as an online-exclusive through Flipkart, following the usual Infinix sales strategy.
