Infinix recently dropped a new version of its budget smartphone in India. The Infinix Smart 8 was initially unveiled in January in India's sub-10K 4G smartphone segment.

Infinix Smart 8 Price, Colors, Availability

The Infinix Smart 8 price in India starts from Rs 7,499 for the based 4GB/64GB model. Moreover, the new 8GB/128GB configuration of the Smart 8 will set you back Rs 7,999. The Infinix Smart 8 is offered in Galaxy White, Rainbow Blue, Shiny Gold, and Timber Black shades.

The Infinix Smart 8 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will go on sale in India from February 8 at 12 noon via Flipkart. Customers who purchase the handset using ICICI Bank debit and credit cards will receive an instant 10 percent discount.

Infinix Smart 8 Specifications

The Infinix Smart 8 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC paired up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Moreover, the new memory variant allows for up to 8GB of unused storage to be utilized as virtual RAM. The handset runs Android 13-based XOS 13 out of the box.

Infinix's latest budget smartphone sports a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with a peak brightness of 500 nits. The display boasts a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The handset also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with charging over a USB Type-C port.

For optics, the Infinix Smart 8 features a 50 MP primary sensor and an unnamed AI sensor. Moreover, the rear camera setup is also backed by a quad-LED flash. Up front, the Smart 8 opts for an 8 MP selfie camera.

The phone also has a Magic Ring bar features that functions like Apple's Dynamic Island, displaying notifications, battery status, alerts, etc. The handset also features 4G LTE, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C port, a side-mounted fingerprint reader, and more. The Infinix Smart 8 weighs 189 grams and measures 8.5mm thick.
