Infinix Smart 9 HD with MediaTek Helio G50 SoC, 90Hz Display, 5000 mAh Battery Launched in India

Infinix has officially unveiled a new entry-level smartphone in India. The Infinix Smart 9 HD is an ultra-affordable smartphone that will compete with the likes of the recently unveiled Lava Yuva Smart. The Infinix Smart 9 HD features a tall HD+ display, a large battery, a MediaTek chipset, and dual stereo speakers.

The Infinix Smart 9 HD price in India starts from Rs 6,699 for the sole 3GB/64GB model. The handset is offered in Coral Gold, Metallic Black, Mint Green, and Neo Titanium colour options.

The Infinix Smart 9 HD is set to go on sale in India from February 4 at 12 noon via Flipkart and other retail channels. Customers can get an instant discount of Rs 500 on the Smart 9 HD using a credit or debit card from most major banks.

The Infinix Smart 9 HD is powered by the MediaTek Helio G50 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Moreover, up to 3GB of unused storage can be utilized as virtual RAM. The phone also packs a large 5,000 mAh battery with charging via a USB Type-C port.

Moreover, the Smart 9 HD also sports a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Additionally, the display has a Dynamic Bar on the top that provides notifications of background calls, low battery, and more. The phone runs XOS 14 based on the Android 14 Go.

The handset also packs stereo speakers with DTS sound, which is rare at this price. The Infinix Smart 9 HD features a 13MP primary camera sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and an unnamed secondary lens. It is also the first phone in the segment to offer an 8MP selfie camera. Finally, the Smart 9 HD also boasts an IP54 rating making it resistant to dust and splashes of water.
