Infinix To Launch Smart TV And Accessories In India
Following the footsteps of Nokia and OnePlus, Infinix, an online- smartphone brand under Transsion Holdings, is now planning to launch smart TV in 2020. The company is also likely to launch smartwatches and portable speakers, the Economic Times reported.

"Our smart TV plans are under works for India. Globally, we have done some work around it," Anish Kapoor, CEO - Infinix India was quoted by the newspaper. Adding to that, "We will launch four new smartphones in the first half of 2020, which may include our entry into a new smartphone segment." Apart from that, the Chinese handset maker considers India as its most important market, and it will continue to launch a smartphone in the country first.
In addition, in order to increase its sales, Infinix might try its hands in the offline market. "Offline is a high-cost operation model and we have to operate in a sustainable manner without burning money," Kapoor added. He also reveals that the company has a 5 percent market share under sub Rs. 10,000 market and 8 percent in Rs. 6,000 -Rs. 8,000 price segment.
Earlier, Kapoor informed Gizbot that the company will focus on launching more fitness bands in 2020. On the other hand, another brand under Transsion Holdings is also planning to launch a smart TV and music system in 2020 in India. It is worth mentioning, that itel has very aggressive plans for the next year and it is likely to bring 22 handsets next year in the country.
For the unware, Infinix has recently launched a successor of XBand 3, which was launched in May this year. The XBand 5 tracker is priced at Rs. 1,799, and it is available on Flipkart. The newly launched tracker comes with a colorful IPS display and a waterproof rating. It also offers heart rate monitoring. It supports notifications like text, calls, social media updates, and WhatsApp messages.
