Infinix ZERO 40 5G with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate SoC, 144Hz AMOLED Display Launched in India

The Infinix ZERO 40 5G has officially been unveiled in India. The ZERO 40 5G succeeds last year's Infinix ZERO 30 5G, which debuted in India's sub-25K smartphone segment.

However, the ZERO 40 5G fetches a higher price tag than its predecessor, although it does get its fare share of upgrades, particularly in the camera department. Now, let's dive into the pricing and specifications of the Infinix ZERO 40 5G.

Infinix's latest mid-range smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultimate chipset paired with the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. The phone comes with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The ZERO 40 5G features an in-display fingerprint reader and dual stereo speakers with sound by JBL.

The Infinix ZERO 40 5G sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ 10-bit Curved AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Moreover, the screen boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate. The phone also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W wired and 20W wireless fast charging support. It also supports 10W reserve wireless charging.

For optics, the ZERO 40 5G features a triple-rear camera setup with a 108MP Samsung HM6 primary sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and OIS support. The main camera is paired with a 50MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. Up front, the handset opts for a 50MP selfie camera with a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor.

The ZERO 40 5G can record 4K video at 60fps on both the front and rear cameras. Moreover, the ZERO 40 5G runs Android 14-based XOS 14.5. Infinix has promised that the ZERO 40 5G will get the Android 16 upgrade as well as three years of regular security patches. The Infinix Zero 40 5G weighs 195 grams, measures 7.9mm thick, and features an IP54 rating for resistance to dust and water.

Infinix is also offering a discount of Rs 3,000 on the Zero 40 5G using "selected bank cards". The Infinix ZERO 40 5G will go on sale in India from September 21 at 07:00 pm (IST).
