InFocus has come up with a new entry-level smartphone called the InFocus A2. The company has taken to its official Twitter handle that the smartphone will be available at a best buy price point of Rs. 5,199. It looks like this one will be an offline-only model. Despite being a budget smartphone, the InFocus A2 appears to support 4G VoLTE and comes with free 30GB of data from Reliance Jio making it a great deal for those who are looking forward to buy entry-level smartphones.
The InFocus A2 bestows a 5-inch HD display with a 2.5D curved glass on top and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. At its heart, there operates a quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz. This processor is teamed up with 2GB RAM and 16GB of default memory capacity that can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Running Android 7.0 Nougat based on the company's proprietary skin, the InFocus A2 comes bundled with connectivity features such as 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, hybrid SIM slot, and other standard aspects seen on the budget smartphones. On the imaging front, the smartphone appears to have a 5MP primary camera at its rear accompanied by LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera at the front along with beauty mode for the selfie enthusiasts. The InFocus A2 gets the power from a 2400mAh battery that is touted to last up to one day on a single charge.
Talking about the pricing, the tweet from the company reveals that the InFocus A2 will be available for purchase at a best buy price point of Rs. 5,199. However, there is an offer that is being run along with MobiKwik that lets you buy it at a lesser price point. Notably, if you purchase the InFocus A2 using your MobiKwik wallet, then you will receive up to Rs. 300 cashback as Supercash. This way, you will be able to get your hands on this smartphone at just Rs. 4,899.
At this price point, the InFocus A2 will compete against the likes of smartphones such as Xiaomi Redmi 5A and 10.or D those are available at Rs. 4,999 in the country.
