iOS 11 finally overtakes iOS 10 after three weeks of its release

The adoption rate for iOS 11 has been much slower as compared to iOS 10 and it took almost three weeks for the operating system to take over its predecessor. In the first 24 hours, iOS 11 was only installed on 10 percent of devices whereas only 24 percent of devices had iOS 11 by the week's end of the release of the OS.

It took three weeks for the latest version of the operating system to finally take over the iOS 10. Meanwhile, Apple has released three updates to the OS of which the latest one is iOS 11.0.3 which was rolled out yesterday itself.

Apple is counting on the upcoming upgrade to exponentially increase the adoption rate of iOS 11. The update marked as iOS 11.1.0 will bring in several compelling features including the introduction of new emoji characters, 3D touch gesture to switch apps easily and bug fixes and improvements of all the issues that were discovered from the very first day of the release of the OS.

The latest version of iOS brings a massive change to the control center of the Apple devices along with the introduction to an all-new app store.

The data has been presented by California based analytics company Mixpanel.
