Apple has released iOS 13.2 for select iPhones that bring in a lot of new features including support for AirPods Pro, HomeKit Secure Video, Home Kit enabled routers and new privacy settings for Siri. The update is around 600MB and it is advised to completely charge the iPhone and connect it to a high-speed Wi-Fi network for a hassle-free update process.

Deep Fusion Finally Made Available

For the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro users, iOS 13.2 is a major update as it finally introduces Deep Fusion -- an advanced image processing system that uses Neural Engine on the Apple A13 chipset. It improves the texture reduces noise levels in an image and improves the details.

There is no dedicated switch to deploy Deep Fusion as it automatically kicks in during medium or low lighting conditions. Underlying this technology is a process where the phone takes multiple images at different exposure levels and the Neural Engine makes a pixel-by-pixel and fuses high-quality parts of the image to create one final photo with improved detailing, texture, and reduced noise.

Users can now switch between different video resolutions directly from the camera app. Do note that this feature is available only for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Besides, iOS 13.2 also introduces 70 new emojis based on Unicode 12.0 which will be available for previous iPhone models as well. The new emoji set includes animals, food, activities, new accessibility emoji, gender-neutral emoji, and skin tones selection for couple emoji.

Siri also gets major security overhaul, where users can now delete previous dictations from the Siri settings menu.
