iPhone 15 Launch Could be Delayed to October
The launch of the iPhone 15 series could be delayed this time, according to a new report. Apple typically launches its new iPhones in September every year. However, this year, it seems things may not be ready in time, and Apple may have pushed the launch of the new iPhones by a month.
According to a report by MacRumours, who cited Wamsi Mohan, a global securities analyst at the Bank of America, the iPhone 15 launch this year could be delayed and will be hosted in October.

This is not the first time Apple has delayed the launch of the new iPhones, though. The iPhone 12 launch was delayed by a few weeks during the COVID-19 pandemic, while the iPhone 14 Plus went on sale almost a month later due to production disruption in China due to the pandemic last year.
The analyst predicted the delay in launch after conducting channel checks in the company's global supply chain. Based on the details he found, Mohan said Apple might push the launch of the iPhone 15 series to the fourth quarter of 2023. He, however, could not cite a reason for the possible delay.
Contradicting Information
Wamsi is actually the only analyst to claim a delayed launch. Other analysts have claimed the iPhone 15 could launch on September 12, a Tuesday. The iPhone 14 series launched last year on September 7, and went on sale a week later. Only the iPhone 14 Plus sales were delayed to October due to production snags at Apple's China factories.
This time around, the iPhone 15 production will be happening across China and India with the Tata Group expected to produce the base models. That apart, the iPhone 15 production will be diversified across Foxconn, Pegatron, and Luxshare.
Four iPhone 15 Models Launching This Year
The iPhone 15 series will include four iPhones - The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. All four iPhones are expected to feature the Dynamic Island, introduced in the Pro models last year, along with USB-C ports for the first time. All four iPhones are also expected to feature 48MP primary cameras, with slightly bigger sensors on the Pro models.
