iPhone 15 Pro Max Tops the List of Best-Selling Smartphones of Q1 2024

The iPhone 15 Pro Max has topped the list of the best-selling smartphones of Q1 2024, as shared by Counterpoint Research. The technology market research firm has shared the list of ten top-selling smartphones in the first quarter of the year.

Apple and Samsung dominated the list of top 10 best-selling smartphones which all are 5G-enabled devices. Despite being expensive, Apple's Pro line-up captured half of total sales in the first quarter.

Apple's iPhone 15 Pro Max is in the first place on the list with a market share of 4.4 per cent, followed by the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, and the iPhone 14. The iPhone 15 Plus is also on the list which comes after the Samsung Galaxy A54.

On the other hand, Samsung's flagship model Galaxy S24 Ultra is in the fifth position with a market of 1.9 per cent. While the base Galaxy S24 is in ninth position on the list. In addition to Samsung's premium phones, the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A34 have also made it to the list.

Even in the previous year, Apple and Samsung dominated the top 10 best-selling smartphones list. Apple's Pro models made up over 60% of its sales value in the first quarter. While Samsung got its sales volume up by introducing Generative AI (GenAI) technology with the Galaxy S24 series.
