The long-awaited iPhone 15 family, encompassing the standard iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, will be unveiled at Apple's 'Wonderlust' event on September 12.
This year, the Pro models in the iPhone 15 series will likely command a higher price than their iPhone 14 counterparts, owing to new hardware upgrades and a new and improved robust titanium build. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro is also expected to get an updated third Periscope camera, a first for the iPhone.

iPhone 15 Pro models to get Price Hike
DigiTimes analyst Luke Lin reports that the pricing for the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models will remain consistent with their outgoing models, despite updated features. However, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will command a higher price.
If this reporting is accurate and the price hike comes into effect, the iPhone 15 Pro Max model might end up being the most expensive iPhone ever produced.
Why the price hike?
Factors such as a deteriorating global economy, inflation, and changing consumer preferences could potentially slow down smartphone sales, despite active promotional efforts. We recently reported that global smartphone shipments took a major hit in the first two quarters of 2023.
However, with the upcoming launch of the iPhone 15 series, we can expect a major bump in smartphone sales in the last two quarters of the year.
Apple Wonderlust Event
While exact pricing is yet to be confirmed, it is speculated that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models may see a substantial increase in their starting prices compared to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. A Bloomberg report has likewise proposed that the
iPhone 15 Pro Max model could see a significant price jump, in a bid to boost Apple's revenue.
As the global tech community continues to eagerly anticipate the iPhone 15 series, potential buyers are warned of possible increased prices, for the premium Pro models. Only the unveiling at Apple's Wonderlust event will confirm these speculations.
