iPhone 16 Buyers Might Have to Wait at Least Two Months to Experience Apple Intelligence
Apple typically unveils its new iPhones in September, and despite rumours of delays due to Apple Intelligence issues, the iPhone 16 series is expected to launch on schedule. According to Mark Gurman, the release will align with Apple's usual timeline.
Gurman indicates that the iPhone 16 launch will likely mirror last year's schedule, with September 10 being a probable date. However, users will need to update their devices to iOS 18.1 to access all Apple Intelligence features.

iPhone 16 Series Models and Features
The upcoming iPhone 16 series is anticipated to include four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Reports suggest that the Pro and Pro Max models will feature larger batteries compared to the iPhone 15 series.
Apple is also expected to enhance the camera system on the standard iPhone 16 models. The new layout may include a vertical camera arrangement with a pill-shaped protrusion.
Apple Intelligence Delays
Initially planned for the iOS 18 release in September, Apple Intelligence has been postponed to iOS 18.1. This means the new software feature won't be available at the time of the iPhone 16's launch.
Apple recently released the iOS 18.1 developer beta, which includes new Apple Intelligence features like enhanced Siri, AI call recording, and transcription tools. Currently, these features are accessible only to developers using eligible iPhone models.
The delay in Apple Intelligence means users will have to wait until October for a full experience. This update aims to bring significant improvements in AI capabilities across Apple's ecosystem.
Despite initial concerns about potential delays, it appears that Apple's release schedule remains intact. The company continues its tradition of launching new devices in September while rolling out subsequent updates shortly after.
The anticipation surrounding the new features and enhancements in both hardware and software keeps Apple enthusiasts eagerly awaiting each year's announcements. With each iteration, Apple aims to push technological boundaries further.
