iPhone 17 Tipped to Come With 12GB RAM
A Weibo user (Mobile phone chip expert) claimed that the iPhone 17 will feature 12GB of RAM, up from the 8GB of RAM expected from the upcoming iPhone 16. The post further stated that next year's iPhone 17 will have more Apple Intelligence features. Currently, the Apple Intelligence features are limited to the iPhone 15 Pro models which supports 8GB of RAM.

iPhone 17 Series What We Know So Far
The iPhone 17 series is rumoured to include - the standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, and the 17 Pro models. The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be the thinnest Apple product to date, measuring 5mm in thickness. With this, it could replace the new iPad Pro, which is the thinnest Apple product ever, measuring 5.1 mm.
Leaks also suggested the iPhone 17 and 17 Air could be the first non-Pro iPhones to get LTPO screens with a 120Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 17 series is also expected to get a major camera upgrade by featuring a 24MP sensor on the front.
Since the iPhone 17's launch is far away, we should focus on the iPhone 16 series, which will be coming next month. Earlier this week, Apple confirmed it is hosting the event on September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theatre in Apple Park at 10 am Pacific Time (10:30 pm IST), where the company is likely to introduce the next-generation iPhone 16 series, Watch Series 10, and fourth-gen AirPods.
