Pre-registration is not same as pre-ordering
A few of the Apple's retail partners in the country like iWorld and Unicorn store are now accepting pre-registrations for the Apple's latest offerings. Do note that pre-registration is not same as pre-order.
Pre-registration is more of an invite for the prospective buyers whereas pre-ordering is paying at least a fraction of the full payment.
Head to iWorld and Unicorn Store for pre-registration
Currently, iWorld and Unicorn Store are the only two retailers among others who are accepting pre-registrations. Apple has just made the pricing official in India. So, expect other retailers to start pre-registration or pre-booking soon.
To pre-register for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus you can head to the official website of iWorld or Unicorn Store. You have to provide your basic information to get registered.
On the day of launch, you'll have to reproduce the booking reference number at the store to get your hands on the device first.
Available from 12 AM on October 7 in India
Both iWorld and Unicorn will start selling the iPhones from 12AM on October 7th. Other partners like Beetle Teletech said it will start delivering the iPhones from 7PM on the same day.

There's no much of a design overhaul this time except for the repositioned antenna bands and a more prominent camera bump on the 7 Plus. Both the iPhones retain almost the same design as their predecessors. What's new? Well, both the iPhones are now water and dust resistant, missing headphone port, and will be available in new colours: Jet Black and Black apart from the regular Rose Gold, Gold, and Space Grey. Akin to its predecessors, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus will ship in two size variants - 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. The 4.7-inch comes with a resolution of 750x1334 pixels (326 PPI) while the Plus comes with a Full HD display (401 PPI). Both the iPhones now cover a wide colour gamut and are 25% brighter than the last generation iPhones. The iPhone 7 Plus's display will be more sharper and crisper than the one on iPhone 7. However, in terms of colour, vibrancy, and viewing angles there will be no much difference between the two. Both the iPhones will run the iOS 10 out-of-the-box. Meaning, both of them will offer similar experiences. However, there will be few additional features in the camera app of 7 Plus to make the most of the dual camera setup. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus both of them will be powered by Apple's A10 fusion chipset. Both the devices will be available in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage variants.
