Apple’s Most Expensive iPhone Duo Costs Rs 4,49,900 in India

Apple has finally entered the foldable smartphone market with the iPhone Duo, and if its Rs 2,99,900 starting price already sounded steep, the top-end version takes things to another level.

The 2TB iPhone Duo costs Rs 4,49,900 in India, making it the most expensive iPhone Apple currently sells in the country. That's a full Rs 1,50,000 more than the base 256GB model, despite the core hardware and features remaining the same.

The iPhone Duo will be available with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB of storage, with buyers able to choose between Star White and Night Sky finishes.

iPhone Duo 2TB Price in India

The iPhone Duo starts at Rs 2,99,900 for the 256GB model, while storage options stretch all the way to 2TB.

That puts the maximum-storage version at Rs 4,49,900, which is Rs 1.5 lakh above the entry price. Naturally, that extra money doesn't buy a faster processor, better cameras, or a larger display — the premium is entirely for the additional storage.

For buyers who shoot a lot of 4K video, keep large games on their phone, or simply want to avoid relying heavily on cloud storage, 2TB is a huge amount of space. But Rs 4.49 lakh also pushes the iPhone Duo well beyond what most flagship smartphones cost in India.

And that's before adding any accessories. Apple's iPhone Duo Case costs Rs 8,900, while the Folio with Kickstand is priced at Rs 14,900.

What Do You Get With the iPhone Duo?

Storage aside, every iPhone Duo gets the same core hardware. Apple's first foldable features a 7.6-inch inner Super Retina XDR display and a 5.4-inch outer screen, with ProMotion, Always-On functionality, and up to 3,000 nits of outdoor brightness.

The phone is powered by the same A20 Pro chip found in the iPhone 18 Pro series and uses a custom vapor chamber to manage heat during gaming, multitasking, and AI workloads.

The camera setup includes a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera, while the foldable design introduces features such as Duo Preview and the ability to use the rear cameras for selfies.

Battery life is rated for up to 31 hours of video playback using the inner display and up to 44 hours using the outer display. Apple says the Duo can also reach 50% charge in around 20 minutes.

iPhone Duo India Availability

Apple will open pre-orders for the iPhone Duo in India on October 16, with sales beginning on October 23. India is part of the first wave of more than 70 markets getting Apple's first foldable.

At Rs 2,99,900, the base Duo was never going to be an affordable iPhone. But at Rs 4,49,900 for 2TB, Apple has taken its flagship pricing into entirely new territory.
