iQOO 15 Key Specifications Confirmed Ahead of Launch: 2K Samsung Display, Dedicated Q3 Chip Detailed
iQOO has recently revealed several key features of its forthcoming flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, during an e-sports performance technology communication event in China. The focus was on advancements in display technology, a newly developed gaming chip, and overall performance improvements.
The iQOO 15 will feature a 2K Samsung "Everest" display, incorporating the world's first M14 luminescent material and 2K LEAD OLED display technology. This screen boasts a 98.1% first-frame brightness ratio and a 40% increase in luminous efficiency. It also offers a 1 nit eye-protection soft light mode and supports manual peak brightness adjustments up to 1000 nits.

Display and Visual Technology
The screen provides a 2K resolution with 508 PPI and is certified for Dolby Vision. It introduces "Eye Protection 2.0" for enhanced visual comfort. For gaming enthusiasts, the display is equipped with a 144Hz refresh rate and a maximum instantaneous touch sampling rate of 3200Hz.
A major highlight of the announcement was the introduction of the self-developed Q3 gaming chip. iQOO claims this chip marks the beginning of the "era of mobile graphics cards." The Q3 is touted as the industry's first independent display chip to integrate "super-resolution, super-frame, and ray tracing" capabilities.
Self-Developed Gaming Chip
Manufactured using TSMC's ultra-low power process, the Q3 chip promises a 60% performance improvement, a 40% boost in energy efficiency, a 50% increase in cache, and a remarkable 400% enhancement in AI capabilities.
The new device will also include the QNSS super rendering engine. This engine supports what is claimed to be the industry's first fully developed ray tracing engine for large-scale open-world mobile games. Specific performance claims were made for several titles.
Gaming Performance and Ecosystem
For instance, PC-level super-resolution is supported for Naraka: Bladepoint, while maintaining 2K resolution and 144FPS for an hour in CrossFire: Gun King is possible. iQOO aims to build a robust gaming ecosystem with announced support for super-resolution and interpolation in over 180 games.
The company has also announced deep collaborations with seven additional titles. The iQOO 15 will be positioned as a "super performance flagship," featuring additional elements like a periscope telephoto lens, wireless charging, and a new motor configuration.
Further details about the phone are expected to emerge before its official launch in October. The anticipation surrounding these features highlights iQOO's commitment to enhancing user experience through cutting-edge technology.
