iQOO 15 Mini Launch Timeline Tipped; Dimensity 9500 and 7,000mAh Battery Expected

iQOO’s 15 series isn’t done expanding just yet. After launching the iQOO 15 in China earlier this year, the company is reportedly exploring a smaller sibling, tentatively called the iQOO 15 Mini. A fresh leak now points to a possible launch window and gives us an early look at what this compact model could bring to the table.

iQOO 15 Mini Launch Timeline Tipped With Dimensity 9500

The details come from tipster Smart Pikachu, who shared the information on Weibo. According to the post, the iQOO 15 Mini could arrive around April next year and is being positioned as a compact flagship option.

A different approach to performance

Unlike the standard iQOO 15, which runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, the Mini variant is said to switch to MediaTek. The leak points toward the Dimensity 9500 chipset, which would make this an interesting move for iQOO.

Earlier rumours had mentioned a Dimensity 9500+ chip, but the latest update suggests the regular Dimensity 9500 is more likely. Either way, this indicates iQOO is experimenting with a different performance path for its compact model.

Compact size, familiar battery capacity

Despite being positioned as a smaller phone, the iQOO 15 Mini is tipped to carry a 7,000mAh battery, similar to the standard iQOO 15.

The phone is also said to feature a metal frame and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, hinting at a build that stays in line with flagship expectations.

What we know about the display

The iQOO 15 Mini is believed to come with a 6.31-inch display and a 1.5K resolution. That size places it firmly in the compact category, especially when compared to the 6.85-inch panel on the regular iQOO 15.

Other screen details remain unclear for now, but the smaller footprint suggests iQOO is aiming at users who want high-end performance without the bulk of a large phone.

How it fits into the iQOO 15 lineup

For context, the iQOO 15 launched in China in October with a starting price of CNY 4,199, roughly around Rs. 52,000. In India, the same model is expected to start at around Rs. 72,999 when it arrives on November 26.

The flagship version features a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED display with 2K resolution and up to a 144Hz refresh rate, paired with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a Q3 gaming chip. It also packs a triple 50MP rear camera setup and a 32MP front camera, along with 100W wired and 40W wireless charging for its 7,000mAh battery.

The Mini version, while smaller, is expected to sit alongside a possible iQOO 15 Ultra.
