iQOO 15 Officially Teased ahead of Launch: Check Design, Specs, India Launch Timeline

The iQOO 15 has been in the leaks for a while, but now the Vivo sub-brand has officially started teasing the phone. Between company posters and tipster insights from Digital Chat Station, we already have a clear picture of what iQOO’s next flagship is shaping up to be.

The Camera Stands Out Right Away

The first detail iQOO highlighted is the oversized camera module in the upper-left corner. It’s big, circular, and even packs a hidden RGB light strip—think of it as a more polished version of the Halo Light from the iQOO 13.

Digital Chat Station points out that the thicker housing isn’t just for looks. It’s there to accommodate a new 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, putting the iQOO 15 directly in line with other flagships betting on long-range camera hardware.

Display Tech Takes Center Stage

The other big talking point is the display. iQOO confirmed the phone will feature a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED panel, built on Samsung’s LTPO technology with ultra-thin bezels. Brightness reportedly ranges from 1 nit all the way up to 6,000 nits, so it should be just as comfortable for bedtime scrolling as it is outdoors in direct sunlight.

An AR anti-glare coating and pol-less depolarization technology are also part of the package, helping boost efficiency and reduce reflections. iQOO product manager Ge Lan V even claimed the panel outperforms Apple’s Pro Max line in terms of detail and brightness. Reports suggest it could end up being one of the most expensive display components among this year’s Android flagships.

Hardware Under The Hood

Benchmarks spotted the iQOO 15 running on Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with 12GB of RAM. Interestingly, the chip was seen at slightly reduced clock speeds, though we will need to wait and watch for the official numbers and our own hands-on testing, so stay tuned for that.

Battery capacity looks generous too. According to Digital Chat Station, the phone will house a 7,000mAh cell with 100W wired charging and wireless support. Other rumored specs include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display, an 8K vapor chamber cooling system, and a dedicated Q3 gaming chip to keep performance smooth.

Out of the box, the iQOO 15 will ship with Android 16, topped with OriginOS 6 in China.

Launch Timeline

Pre-orders for the iQOO 15 are already open across multiple online platforms in China, even before the official launch. The date currently being floated is October 20, right after Qualcomm unveils its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 at this year’s Snapdragon Summit.

As for India, there’s no confirmation yet, but if past iQOO launches are any indication, the phone could arrive here before the end of the year.
