iQOO 15 Pro Key Specs Tipped Ahead of Launch: 7,000mAh Battery, Periscope Camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, & More
iQOO's next flagship smartphone may skip the iQOO 14 branding and launch as the iQOO 15 series, according to a recent leak from Smart Pikachu via Weibo. The reason behind this could be cultural beliefs in some Asian countries where the number 4 is considered unlucky.
More importantly, the leak suggests that iQOO is bringing back the Pro model, which was missing from last year's iQOO 13 lineup. If the information is accurate, the iQOO 15 Pro will come with some significant upgrades, including a 7,000mAh battery, a periscope telephoto camera, and Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.

iQOO 15 Pro to Feature a Periscope Camera
The iQOO 13 was well-received for its battery life and performance, but it lacked a periscope zoom camera, which many flagship smartphones now include. According to Smart Pikachu, iQOO plans to fix that with the iQOO 15 Pro, which will feature a periscope telephoto lens.
Interestingly, the leak suggests that this periscope camera will be exclusive to the Pro variant, meaning the standard iQOO 15 may not include it. This could make the Pro model the better option for photography enthusiasts who want better zoom capabilities.
7,000mAh Battery and Faster Charging Expected
Battery life has been a strong suit for iQOO, and the iQOO 15 Pro seems to be continuing that trend. The leak indicates that the device will feature a 7,000mAh battery, which would make it one of the largest battery capacities in a premium smartphone.
Charging speeds are also expected to remain high-end. While the iQOO 13 supported 120W fast charging, Smart Pikachu suggests that iQOO is testing both 100W and 120W fast charging options for the iQOO 15 Pro. However, it's unclear which speed will be included in the final version.
2K OLED Display With an Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor
The iQOO 15 Pro is rumored to feature a flat OLED panel with a 2K resolution, providing sharper visuals. One of the standout details in the leak is that the display will reportedly be supplied directly by Samsung, which could mean better brightness control and eye protection features.
Another key upgrade is the inclusion of an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, which is known for being faster and more reliable than traditional optical sensors.
Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Could Power the Device
Qualcomm is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset in October 2025, and the leak suggests that the iQOO 15 Pro will be among the first smartphones to feature this processor.
Expected Launch Timeline
The iQOO 15 Pro is expected to launch in Q4 2025, starting in China before expanding to global markets like India. While iQOO hasn't officially confirmed any details, this leak gives an early look at what to expect from the next big iQOO flagship.
